Alina Bercu
Alina Bercu is an outstanding talent, an excellent pianist. She is developing as a mature artist. In the Prokofiev #3 Piano Concerto she had a brilliant performance, acclaimed by the orchestra and the public. I believe that she will have a long and exceptional career and I recommend her to be engaged by any important orchestras.

"...Alina Bercu and Ilian Garnetz fascinate the audience with the finest velvet-like tones, which leave you speechless...
...not only did the violinist enchant the public, but we also heard a pianist who impressed us deeply with the extraordinary touch of the piano. Alina elicited radiant colors from the piano, recreating Brahms... She knows how, by means of a rarely encountered balance with the violinist, to offer the audience the story of the 3rd Sonata in D minor by Johanes Brahms (1833-1897), through the finest tones, in such a way that nobody dares to breathe.

To these young musicians, everything is so natural, they play in perfect harmony, they find the right, very precise and clear note, as part of the soul and the nostalgic melancholia of Schubert."

Hardly ever were we given the chance to listen to a young pianist who should so vigurously interprete, in “Kennedyhause” in Darmstadt, such a pretentious program of works from Bach to Bartok.
In the “Italian Concerto” by Bach, Bercu gave the work, due to her strong left hand, impulses which presented it in an outstanding colourful light, unheard ever before. Her grandiouse technique stood to her advantage in the orchestral parts of the Bagatelles op.33 by Beethhoven and in the glamorous sonorous tableau “Triana” from the “Iberia” Suite by Albeniz.
Judging after the typology of her interpretations, we consider that Bercu has the potential to develop into a fascinating concerto pianist.

Young Alina Bercu approaches the Concertino for piano and orchestra (1984) by Jos Kinzé energetically and tempestuously (without the script) She interprets both the rhythm contours and the lyrical episodes (the second theme from the exposition and Andante) with top sovereign musicality...
...the culminating musical moment of the evening was her achievement of Concerto No.5 in flat E major by Beethoven.
With a stunning superiority, both technically and musically speaking, she interprets the outstandingly complex soloist part.
Her touch is exquisitely varied, having a high quality rhythm support.
She evidentiate each accent, each impulse, each passage. The animated parts and the succession of accords are always clear.
An outstanding achievement of a 17 year old soloist who seems to be running for a great career.
von Loll Weber “Luxemburger Wort” - Ettelbrück - Luxemburg / 26/09/2007

"In the final of the contest, the young Romanian impressed the audience by the exceptionally soft touch, by her reserved delicacy and by the grace of her hands which in the trills created the impression of diaphanous dragonflies."
Concours Clara-Haskil / Matthieu Chenal / 12/09/2007

"The Romanian pianist aged 15, raised the audience to their feet, she impressed by the freshness, vivaciousness and facility she played the virtuosity scores. Rachmaninov would have been charmed to listen to her!"

"In the evenings when Alina performed at the Athenee, the audience has enthusiastically aplauded for minutes on and on, being fascinated by the quality and the determination of her interpretation... balanced, calm, surprisingly mature for her age, with a round and bright touch, she confirmed this time again that her evolution gathers day by day extra carats placing her at the top of her generation (and not only)."
